Lesson from The Past
1. Hubby and a comrade showing how to hide inside the hole. That explains why the Vietnamese are quite a pint-size!
2. Me & Hubby with a life-size mannequin at work (digging the tunnel)
The mound acts as an air-hole for ventilation underground.
Below:
Hubby with an American tank..stranded, beaten to shame by the Viets. A public humiliation for the so-called great Americans
Labels: Journey to Remember
Chu ci Tunnel, Vietnam
Would you stay inside this?
The above ground must have been so dreadful that the Viets would rather live inside this hole! My journey to Chuci Tunnel is truly an eye-opener..a testament to what humans are actually capable of doing if they put their hearts and souls into it.
My macho hubby just came out from a larger version of the tunnel.
Tunnel or no tunnel, your poise must be maintained! Imagining myself just about to enter a wonderful world of Disney...Deep down, it was quite..hmmm..suffocating (that's an understatement!).
Glad to be alive luv? Would you marry me if we had met in such a place? Or should the question be vice versa...?
