Husna's Trips&Trots

A voice from a mother bestowed with a special child.... who teaches her to learn to forgive the little imperfections life offers, to start appreciating the blessings of having another day to live, to stop and smell the rose..Go play in the rain and laugh your heart away at the jokes your kids tell. This blog is dedicated to the transient life we have and learn to live to the fullest every single minute...

I'm FLOORED...and flattered

It has always been my dream to walk on a laminated floor. Finally my wish came true. I bought the Inovar floor through MUDAH.COM..Thanx Mr Don for selling it quite reasonably. It was actually his surplus..so I drove all the way to Tmn SEA to collect the INOVAR. Thanx to Berlingo...for being able to accommodate such loads! Thanx to my Hubby for giving in to my seduction...ha ha ha. Actually this is his money pun...

House decoration project (Part 2)

During the school holiday (December), I managed to paint my living room and paste some decorative murals...
And at the same time...I marked SPM Papers...fuhhh.

The two small frames (Shabby Chic!!!) I ordered from Australia (ebay of course) and the flower motive murals (below and near the stairs) came all the way from America (again ebay)..Oh how I love e-shopping!!! The big frame in the middle came from Tanjung Karang..kah kah kah but to suit the overall theme I spray painted the frame. Now the three frames look like they belong together...Aaaa talk about true love..from Australia and Tanjung Karang, and on my wall they perfectly "hang"...

Holiday Project - Living Room

To add a refreshing look, I painted stripes on the lower section of the wall. The final result gives out a wallpaper look. You really need great patience and even greater voice projection!!!....to warn your kids (or nieces, nephews..) not to come close to the wall with smudged hands, pencils, crayons or 'armed' with anything deemed 'threatening'. The three frames display pictures I bought from Vietnam. Notice the feature wall...(pinkish). I painted that too. The original colour is orange. The two loved ones in the picture are not intended to be painted though because THEY painted my heart! Someday Im going to paint those chairs and table...WHITE!!!!Talk about Romantic Living...

My Holiday Project

Before and after painting my bedroom wall...

By chance I came across this one particular blog called "my romantic home"...what attracts me most is the fact that the writer is very creative in transforming ordinary-looking items for deco into marvelous eye candies!!! I also learnt about "Shabby Chic" concept which I like very much. Its core idea...perfection is too daunting...so it's a celebration of simple things, a transformation of modest items into unique and new refreshing looks...

Then you get my idea..
